Sustainability and Ecology
When selecting components and accessories, we consciously focus on sustainability. A defective pump, valve, or paddle does not necessarily need to be disposed of. We have all the spare parts and the know-how to repair a defect. This helps to reduce environmental impact and also saves your budget.

8 - 12 hours of manual work are invested in each of our SUPs
Airboard SUPs are produced in nine to ten steps. They are manufactured according to precise specifications, and each step is subject to defined inspection criteria. In the video below, you can see the production of an Airboard SUP, condensed into one minute.

Improving Social Performance
Our factory undergoes regular Amfori-BSCI audits (audited by TÜV Rheinland). This stands for improving social performance in global supply chains. For more information, please visit: https://www.amfori.org/content/amfori-bsci 
Additionally, we are personally on site for each production run up to 4 times a year, not just for one or two days, but usually for 1-2 weeks. We have built a good and friendly relationship with the factory operators and workers over the years. This allows us to personally observe a positive development in working conditions and living standards.

Recycling
Since 2020, all SUPs are delivered with bags made from recycled beverage bottles. Additionally, we no longer use plastic film for packaging the SUPs, but exclusively use recycled paper.

Starting from 2021, we will also pack all paddles delivered in sets inrecycled paper. Additionally, the pump is packaged in a reusable 40l dry bag instead of a plastic bag.

 

Collaboration with SUP-Clinic
A defective SUP does not necessarily need to be replaced. Most of the time, they can be repaired. SUP-Clinic.com is our partner when it comes to expertly repairing a leak, burst seam, or defective valve. If a repair is no longer worthwhile, the SUP-Clinic takes care of proper disposal.
